Eddie the Eagle flies again! After learning that there will be a film biopic based on his epic journey to participate in the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, we have heard that the 52-year-old British athlete will tackle a 90m jump in Courchevel Tremplins du Praz facilities.

The initiative in favour of Ski 4 Cancer also involves training 5 complete beginners. They already had their initiation week in Courchevel in October with Eddie and some coaches from the French National Team, and they will be back this week aiming to achieve the 90m Olympic jump.

Eddie the Eagle will take on his jump at the end of the week after over 20 years away from competition. The new film release has not only sparked his memories, but also presented him with a chance of promoting his charity. As he has said: "Watching the new film Eddie The Eagle brought so many memories back – the story, with its struggles, the rejections, and the jumps were all exactly as I remembered them, and really inspired me to dust off my skis for this great cause."

If you want to donate to this great cause, you can do so via the Ski 4 Cancer website.
