A look at the season ahead and what's on when

With only a couple of months to go until the start of the new winter season, we thought we'd give you a quick run down of what events are going on this year in Courchevel.

If you're in resort early in November, come along to watch the Plum KV, a vertical ski touring race that starts in Le Praz.

Following that in December there is more ski touring with the Millet weekly races, the Andros Trophy over in Val Thorens which is definitely worth a trip over to see, the first of many FIS Ski races for the season and believe it or not an open tennis tournament. The Europa Cup ladies ski racing event will also be held in December and an ice skating Christmas gala which is great for the whole family to enjoy.

For Christmas and New Year celebrations we suggest you keep up to date with our snow reporters and nightlife reporters who will be suggesting the best places to go.

In January you can take part in teams of 3 in the World Snow day competition, and then onto February when torch lit descents and fireworks are the order of the day. More races and competitions take part in March with the Derby du Roc Merlet and the Portetta kids contest, or if you'd rather sit back and relax there's also a film festival taking place.

From Easter onwards there's the ever popular 3 Valleys enduro, and then the Feria Blanche, a festival to mark the end of the season with live music and parties.
